Better grades and less expenses.

It's all about the money!

for employers the school is much more important. unless your going for a VERY high position then they don't really look at your grades.
max
Look at George Bush. C's and D's at Yale, and became the Presy-dent. Not that I like george bush.
Michael Anthony Williams
Once you have your degree from an Ivy League institution employers will rarely(if at all) be interested in your grades, simply the fact that you passed.
Walrus
In Finland, the place where you graduated doesn't mean anything special.
dyolfknip
Ivy League opens up so many more doors though.
wrex111
@max you mean the guy who cant pronounce simple words and the fact that his hometown has a sign that says the hometown of Geog...
wrex111
dangit couldn't finish stupid laptop but it says the hometown of George Bush... were sorry

You do realize that most people get B's and C's in Ivy league schools right? You are still more likely to get hired. You can also attend on scholarship too
Des
this is what you're really asking: work your ass off at higher levels to get okay results, or slouch at average levels and be awesome.

I got A's at a standard university. Nobody cares. So did thousands of other people. People see that Ivy League Name on your resume, and it gets your foot in the door. Alumni in powerful places can, and will help you, or take you out on their yacht because you're "one of them".
John Murlin
You can easily graduate with B's and C's. Dean's List is cool and all, but Yale looks a lot prettier to potential employers.
TheDoctor
I'd rather have the knowledge.
Tanya Yemelianov
...and connections...
polynomials
If you're trying to go to grad/professional school...trust me, you want the Ivy League.
Tyler Rutland
If you have A's at a Standard University you shouldnt have issues going to grad school
Dr.Quaffle
Cs get degrees
HoodHustla
Absolutely nothing wrong with Standard Universities. Better than a mere high school diploma.
Berserker1997
Indeed. I don't want to go to an Ivy-League college, anyway.

Since I have to have B's and C's, I'll have two C's and the rest of my grades can be B's. A lot better than what I did in High School.
KyroDCK
I chose the wrong one. Having the school under your belt works better than having a great GPA in some cases (depending on your field and continuation for masters and PHD's).
Linkums
Whatever, just give me the diploma.
Miguel Rosario
Wow
AhoyMcAvoy
@Walrus, yeah but in America its the complete opposite. This question blows because its not in reference to any specific country.
Seine Ham
Most people get B's and C's at Ivy League. You'll still get an awesome job even if you're at the bottom.
Dr.Quaffle
Cs get degrees
Vallhallan
Im still graduating
dinosyndicate
B's and C's = A's in average uni....this logic
Maze
This would mean I am competent at what I'm taking right? Fuck what my potential employers might think. I know what I want to do in life and I want to be good at it
Will McKinnon
as long as you pass, ivy league carries SO much more weight than standard. plus you make connections really high up in your field of study
Victor Elze
i am just gonna invent something like zuckerberg fuck the grades
toolzsnipe
Whatever school u go to its ur gpa that counts
Reed
same degree, better grades
gardenGnostic
I'm a perfectionist
Riley
Fuck u all im gonna be a drug dealer
Marcos Hernandez
What did they call the C student? Doctor ;)
Cristian Cioanca
B's and C's guys. Employers don't much look at marks, more the schooling
Thatguy20
Guess it dosent really matter there about the same
Soham Dasgupta
You are literally too stupid to insult.
0pickles0
You can still go to an Ivy League Graduate school if you go to a standard university and get A's!
Ne_allahsız_sorular
america should use points by numbers to. this A,B,C,D,E,F is so silly.
GareBear
Like I'm gonna shell out that kind of cash. Besides, I'm just gonna be partying the whole time anyway.
KyroDCK
Way to contribute to society.
henCeforth
I'd rather be an entrepreneur... Fuck working for someone else my entire life. It won't matter if I attend a "standard university".
Chris
I thought it said "Get A's at Stanford University"...
Adam
grades dont matter in college, as long as you get a diploma. i did red by accident
Shaspir
1 b at an ivy league school is worth 2 A's at a standard university
RenegadePronoun
Currently doing this right now >_
SomeGuy
The students that get straight As end up with great jobs, working for the students that got Cs and Ds. It's not about what you know, it's about who you know. Ivy League alums offer so much more opportunity than a state college.
LARSISKING
Bush Jr. had all C's and became President. .. so i like my odds
cm213
A b or c at an Ivy League is equivalent to an A at a mediocre school
jayjay
whatever as long as u get a university i dont see the problem.
o0AHK0o
meh
Jacob
It all depends on what you're looking for. I wouldn't rather be at an Ivy League school than where I am right now, it's not about the title for everyone.
Chuck Norris
I got A++ at an Ivy League school, and I never graduated High School
Rachel
As my uncle who is an über successful doctor told me, C's get degrees. I have a good-looking degree, so I'm get.
Jacob
In some cases, D's get degrees. As long as they're not important to your major.
TheRiverNile
Better grades, plus I would much rather go to a regular college anyway. Same education and is much cheaper. People shouldn't care which school you go to, as long as you get good grades. In the Ivy League, it's not really what you know, it's who you know. I would much rather be smart than have so-called "connections".
Eric
TRANSFER!!
Devin Boyce
Berea College has free tuition and is one of the toughest schools in the country. I barely got through my first year there.
Andrew Zeller
Ivy League with decent grades still has better reputation and connections. And supposedly teaches better sooo
neonblue120
Saying you graduated from an Ivy league school is much more impressive; people don't normally ask about your grades. Plus getting into one either means I'm really smart or at least somewhat wealthy.
Morgana
ARRRRGH!!!! BUT IF I WENT TO AN IVY LEAGUE SCHOOL I WOULD GET A'S TOO!!!!!!
