Yes, you could be a Pokemon trainer or perhaps a superhero. You would not be allowed to pick your powers, which would be randomly given to selective citizens.

Honestly, wild pokemons would kill you. Do you think that wild pokemon with those huge, sharp teeth cares you're a human? It'd eat you on the spot. And there wouldn't be a guy handing out free pokemon to everyone on the planet, meaning you probably wouldn't be able to get one anyway. Cause face it, you're not gonna go into the wild to fetch animals, and you wouldn't go into the wild to fetch pokemon. To nowhereman: not everyone would be superheroes, but they'd exist. It's like, americans exist, but not everyone is american =).

A real wild animal could kill you just as readily as a wild pokemon could, and much like in real life the more dangerous ones are rarer to find. And you don't need the professor to give you a pokemon, you could buy one, win one, catch one, get one from a family member, etc.

I wish I could click reply to Isabelle. EXACTLY, an animal would kill you, just as well as a pokemon would. And even if you ventured into nature to find a non-dangerous pokemon, what were you gonna do? Wrap it up and bring it home? THEY ARE WILD "animals", they're not gonna love you or rub them up against your leg for you to pet. They're gonna get angry at you, bite you, run away, something. Pokemon existing does not give you pokeballs to tame them. And pokemons would interrupt ecosystems everywhere, leaving races of animals and pokemon alike endangered. Who's gonna clean up that mess? Superheroes on the other hand, they're all heroes. It's not supervillains, just heroes. That'd be awesome. You are one of the lucky ones to become one? Well, that's just that much more awesome. But even if you're not, it's still awesome. They work for free, police spend lots of money.

I dont care that much about pokemon, but superheroes draw supervillains like a horse draws flies. And if they aren't bringing supervillains, why have them around in the first place?

Because they can still fight crime. Superman did not become superman to fight interterrestial beings wishing to capture earth or whoever supervillain he is fighting.

i agree with forealms. Plus, theres a higher chance that you could be a pokemon trainer than be a superhero. Superheroes are a chosen few, and pokemon trainers decide to be that by themselves.

Pokemon are wild "animals" and will try to kill you, or at the very least, not love you and let you pet it. Pokemon may become real, but they do not bring pokeballs for you to tame them.

Anyone can catch a panda, but I don't see you running around with those and fighting other people. Also, please refer to my earlier posts on the danger of pokemon, as you do not have any pokeballs to tame them.

That means 42% of these people fail to see the danger pokemon would bring with them. Then again, having blastoise running around destroying everything with water blasts, or charizard burning people? Sounds like fun. Pokemon are only great in our imagination and TV.

I'd like to point out that, at least in the TV series, once you catch a pokemon, it becomes obedient to you (not counting Ash's Charizard)

Pokemon are obedient after being caught by pokeballs, and pokemon being real, does not mean you suddenly have a stash of pokeballs. So I'd like to see you tame them before you are electrocuted, vine-whipped, burned, or water-blasted away, scratched, lullaby'd, punched, kicked (hitmonlee xD or is that punched), whichever.
