There's really no point either, cause once you graduate, years from then none of that matter because most of the people will be gone or not even know you

If your idol is famous then that will automatically set you in the direction of popularity. But I don't give a shit about popularity so... ha!

I see getting more out of being popular than meeting someone unless you're going for the same profession and them maybe pulling strings for you

Being popular within your group of friends holds a large deal more value than being popular around the school. Having a small but trusting group of friends whom you can speak to about anything is far more important than having people you hardly know like you. People underestimate the value just having a small group of friends. To me, at least, that's more special than a large group who hardly know you.

@grammarnazi, Just because you're popular doesn't mean you don't have good friends. It just means that everyone likes you, you get invited to every party, people give you their food and you can still hang out with your group of friends.

I feel like if I was popular at school I wouldn't be the same person. So even if I I got to choose be popular at school or just be the way I am now, then I would still not wanna be popular.

Dude, who gives a crap about school? Now that I'm out of it, I don't give a crap. I was fairly popular everywhere I went, and it doesn't mean anything to me now. Didn't mean much then either. Also, my idol is The Doctor or William Shakespeare, so that means time and/or universe travel.

I would hate to be popular. I can't stand crowds. I look at magazines and cringe at how easy you can spread information to a mass of people about someone popular. If the blue option was "Meet Hitler" I'd still pick it.

Being popular is too much work and there's usually too much unneeded drama- at least where I used to go to school there was./

Yes. Be popular with idiots for a short amount of time is TOTALLY better than meeting someone who puts some sort of happiness in your life.

Popular= lots of friends, which will last a while. You can have sexy chicks, too.

You HAVE to still be in high school if you think popularity is what gets you "sexy chicks". Or that any girls respond well to that.

Popular kids at school are dicks and bitches... I was one for about a month and when I became a 'nerd' again I saw how much of a bitch I was. My friends accepted me back again and the popular kids hate me.
