@Branden Pedroza- Fans are fickle and can be lost overnight. A celebrated academic (especially one that has done financially well for themselves) has stability since the mind lasts longer than the body. Having fans might be cool if you're into that (I personally would miss the privacy too much to ever want fans.)

The only sport I like is skateboarding. But being a sports star can put a positive spot light on you that everyone loves to see when they go out of town and catch you somewhere with all your famous friends. And it would be great to be a celebrated academic, it proves your intellect and potential & you get privacy. Honestly this was probably 50/50 for me. But I love attention so.

What exactly was it in your mind that convinced you to believe I actually proclaimed that the intelligent aren't healthy?? I never once said nor believed that, but perhaps you're the one being stereotypical since you automatically assumed I thought academics aren't healthy or fit. However being a sports star would almost guarentee being fit and healthy. Although now that I think about it, I think I'd like to change my mind. I don't really like sports and I could always be fit and healthy by dieting and working out while also being inteligent and hopefully inventing/discovering something that benefits the human race and it's planet.
