I would not want to fight against family.

I think the Revolutionary War would be much more exciting.

Civil War was -way- more dramatic and interesting.
warface363
yea? well, civil war was also WAAAAAAAAY more costly, casualty wise. and depending on where you live, you would either be for slavery or aganist, none of that "i'd move north" crap. if you're in the south, you're confederate in this scenario.

That's hardly fair. Especially considering the war was originally "To protect the Union" for the North and "To drive out the Northern invaders" for the south (Southern forces even had black soldiers fighting for them). Lincoln forced it towards slavery to keep Britain out of the picture. And I'm sure plenty of people then moved north/south so they could fight on the other side, such as General Lee himself, who was fighting for the national army until Virginia seceded.

Long as I get to fight under Ulysses and not Lee.

Personally, I would rather be having a war with another country. I mean, fighting for rights, thats noble, but within your own country just seems sad. Like a family who hates eachother. I don't like the thought of that. Plus... I dunno just seems awesome to be able to say, "Fuck yeah, I gave this country its damn independence. I am a fucking BAD ASS."

The Civil War was a shameful spot in our nation's history, while the Revolution was our first victory.
