lol you cant see anything you idiots, since most of you havent been in an OR ill explain. The patient is on the bad at 180 degrees or at slants depending on type of surgery, but your head is covered by a blue covering so you cant see anything unless your eyeballs can get out of your head. So have fun killing time for 2-3 hours just watching the lights.

Ankit, if you know that you're going to be awake, see if they won't let you put something up there for you to look at. Maybe even a monitor to watch the surgery if you wanted.

@Ankit See I don't mind when people find loopholes for this game. but ur comment is just stupid. It says ur ''awake to see everything'', so those of us that "haven't been in an OR" don't need ur explanation.

Just because you're awake doesn't mean you have to watch. You can close your eyes.

Loopholes defeat the purpose of this entire site. Why wouldn't they mean "be awake to SEE everything [that] happens [to you]"?

If I see surgery, I either barf or faint. I'd rather wake up in pain and then take medication.

I guess better to feel the pain than throw up on your lungs and stomach.

Feel no pain, but be awake to see everything happens - if you don't like it, close your eyes, cuz you can't feel it.

I've been told that you wake up uncomfortably or in pain sometimes anyways, although I'd hope I wouldn't come to need surgery!

My dad was awake during his third knee surgery with some local anesthetic. He said it was pretty cool. The doctor even messed with him when he came in saying "ah yes we are here for a heart transplant" cause he knew my dad was awake.

As someone who wants to be a nurse anesthetist, finds surgery fascinating, and has a low pain tolerance, the decision was easy.

My life has mostly consisted if operations from one thing to another, I wouldn't wish to be awake during them. I prefer the surprise when I wake up.
