Honestly... Mars would be boring as shit. I mean, what would I have to do. No friends. No family. No social life out there. And it's just one planet, one type of terrain (forgot the correct word, but some examples would be it doesnt have the variety of a grassy plane as opposed to a coral reef). So I would become quite bored. Dying bored... no fun.

If it's a one way trip, why would they send an abundance of supplies? starving/freezing to death sucks. Living a normal life is much better.
