Think about a normal life in each. You can work your way into Star Fleet, but if you aren't born with enough midichlorians, you're not going to be a Jedi.
Sage
Blood transplants.
Koen van Herk
but I can still join the Mandalorians and become an mercenary/bounty hunter. woohooo
SilasDG
Agreed. Working your way up vs being told no by a fascist green alien? I'll take hard work.
yourmom78839
SilasDG Fuck you Yoda is way cooler than any Star Trek character.
BKBROWN
And in the ST universe you can use replicators and holodecks to give you literally anything
Bobbie Buchanan
Everyone in Star Fleet is a genius. If you aren't a genius you'll end up as a Red Shirt or something.
codbl4l
Who cares about being a jedi?? There's other lives to live, such as working your way up rebel statuses
Roydon
Fuck the Jedi, Sith FTW!
Razael
If you don't have an IQ of 240, good luck working your way up that ladder Spock.
Toni Lucas Gajic
i am a sith i no care or mercenary!
maxy89c
Red Shirt, that is all.
Giorgio Gabriel Guzmán
If i was told no by that green alien, then i would turn to te dark side. iwould learn the ways of the Sith no matter what it taes, soon to take my revenge on those who doubted and turned me away. And if they gave me the chance (just so i wouldn't kill them) THEN i would become a Jedi.
EvanLIX
Become a smuggler, pirate, bounty hunter, trader, merchant, or farmer.
BizzarreCoyote
Don't need to be a Jedi to be an X-Wing pilot
Andrew
The Star Wars universe has an army
Zaltys
Holodecks, replicators, transporters, advanced healthcare... and you wouldn't have to sign up for the Starfleet, since all those are available for every Federation citizen. What exactly does Star Wars have to offer, besides a short life expectancy?
Jasmine Cyrus
SPOCK!
FinMagotti
Imma high end bounty hunter, better than bobafett himself
GareBear
Who says I give a crap about being a Jedi? True, it'd be a plus, but I'd be a bounty hunter at the very least.
DarklordTheo
Smuggler's FTW
wonderbung
I'm a huge fan of both. However, the Trek universe boasts food replicators and mass transmitters. Plus, they don't use money in the Federation. Star Wars is basically the American war of Independence in space followed by never-ending territorial squabbling. Though it would be cool to be a bounty hunter for a while.
Jumanji9700
Both would be awesome... but unless you can use The Force, Star Wars universe would loose it's appeal quickly. I'll take beeming up.
Lem
Though, I would much prefer the Doctor Who universe.
Chris Danger Gillett
You're already living in the DW universe, you're just not the doctor. If you're not the doctor or his companion, the DW universe sucks.
Azer Faraclas
Star Trek doesn't have Jawas.
joln
But it has Ferengi.
Chris Danger Gillett
You must not know much about Star Wars. How many Jawas are there? That's right. It's only a few years before they go extinct.
SentientPuddle
Are you people crazy? Regardless of where you fall in the whole "Which is better, Star Wars or Star Trek?" debate, Star Wars is a universe in constant, well, war and spends a great deal of time being oppressed by a fascist dictatorship. In the Star Trek universe, on the other hand, the Earth is a civilized utopia filled with replicators and holodecks. It's kind of a no brainer.
Rowan93
What? 82% of people want to be in Star Wars? For most people, that universe is freaking medieval! What the hell?
DJ Mouthwash
Tough one. I suppose the Star Trek universe has a better mean standerd of living.
Nick B.
There's no Force in the Star Trek universe.
Chris Danger Gillett
How likely is it that you will be born a jedi? Almost 0.
Nick B.
If you aren't, at least you'll be surrounded by them.
ಠ_ಠ
Not necessarily, you could be born into slavery or crime
Jordan
Have you never heard of Order 66?
SirAwesomecake
There's very little chance of being any kind of Jedi in the Star Wars universe, and that's really all I'd want to be in it. You can be pretty much anywhere in the Star Trek universe and strive to be on a ship of some kind.
Rakin Hamid
Being a Jedi - You can use the force, but you only have a damn melee weapon and you're entire life is restricted. Being a Bounty Hunter - Badass epicness.
SnazziestPants
The Star Wars universe is more lax and casual, but I do risk being born into slavery. Suffice it to say that being born into the Star Wars universes is like playing the lottery.
Chris Danger Gillett
Yea, it's super casual. There is the ocassional bounty hunter, you could be born into slavery, there is a fucking EMPIRE about to kill you (assuming the time periods for SW is 4th movie and ST is TNG). With ST you can replicate food, take showers instantly, and explore the galaxy without the fear of death. If you want a more exciting job, join Starfleet.
Rahma Anderson
Chris, you can also be born a normal citizen in one of the awesome city-planets. It doesn't say that you will be one of the characters from the movies.
Razael
@chris danger, explore the galaxy without fear of death.....try again. Besides SW is way more cool.
Andy ಠ_ಠ
I WANT CHEWY!!! and star wars has some cool and funny characters
Ian
Star Wars fans; you're a stormtrooper. Star Trek fans; you're a red shirt. either way, you have terrible aim and die instantly.
Emily
Utopian society, replicators, Tribbles.
Captainspock
Star Trek is more scientifically accurate...
Rakin Hamid
Who the fuck cares about scientific accuracy?
Lolly
I'd rather live in a doctor who universe not some dumb star wars or star treck one
DragonXneoN
Star Trek all the way.
keatmar
Forget logic. I want a lightsaber!! (^O^)/
Jonathan Trabing
Suck it, Trekies.
Prufucius
Who cares about being a jedi ? Mercenaries ftw
Josef Correia Herber
Star trek universe... Only I would prefer the Stargate Universerse... And to be in an SG team :3
xboxplayer68
I absolutely love Star Trek :O
maryellen2011
wars vs trekkies? answer=easy. it's the jedi, baby.
Chris Danger Gillett
What if you aren't born a jedi? You can't just have a blood transfusion to get mediclorians. You might also be born into slavery.
swexbe
I WANNA BE A Q!!
bloodshed109
you could become half Borg like seven of nine
awesomenessninja
Star Trek can suck it
John Himura

Leea
Do you want to copulate with me?
Jacinda
Star wars no question!! Light sabers, the force and adventure at every turn!
wrex111
pshh Chewbacca, light saber, force.
little man
They should make a star trek universe versus star wars universe movie it would be awesome seeing Darth Vader and Yoda working together!
Gian Marco Yepez Rob
TWO WORDS: SITH PWNS
Peter
I'm sorry, but as much as I love the force, the Star Trek universe is just more pleasant to live in.
Aaron Weiss
Star Trek is a mostly-ideal legitimately communistic society. Sounds great to me.
Gauldur Blacksoul
I would sneak aboard the Death Star and piss on all the controls.
Batman
Hmmm a lightsaber to my utility belt...
Gauldur Blacksoul
Christ, you're annoying.
Alectricity279
Wars over Trek anyday.
Kelsey Lynn Underwoo
star wars.
iamjonahXD
You can actually live a life in Star Trek. Star Wars, unless you're a Jedi (which there aren't many of) it wouldn't be much fun.
Microtor
Beam me up scotty.
Katie Crosley
Lightsabers!
TehSpaceSnake
SPAAAAAAACE :3 (space core)
Chris Danger Gillett
You can do that in star trek too. Have you even seen star trek?
Edd Angelou Dampios
I'd like to have me some lightsabers!
zacharydm
Only because the likeliness of becoming a Jedi is so small >.>
AbsentFriendHex
I already know a bunch of Star Wars trivia, so why not?
Tabatha Barnhart
This is a pretty hard choice.
Fatima Ghani
That's so unfair!
space rules
you dont have to make money in star trek
Kaley Perceful
Star Trek universe should always be the answer. You can create any other universe you want on the holodeck, and bam. Now you get both. Why is this even a question.
