Saw - Suffer from torture and psychological damage before death. Final Destination - quick death, and usually you're with friends or something. Good way to go out.

gotta think a bit more. he did a surgery to get the key there and recently. so fresh nerve damage and go in the same way he did. there wouldnt be anymore new pain than what your feeling from what he did. source: ive had my entire rib cage re built. fresh wounds are painlessly re opened

Well, neither franchise offers nice, comfy ways to die and not everyone is tortured in Saw. The jawripper, shotgun collar, and other gadgets I can't remember because I just woke up, were all fairly instantaneous ways to die. The bigger point though is that avoiding death in the first place is easier in the Saw franchise. In Saw, don't be a junkie, appreciate the life you're given, be a decent human being and you should be ok. A greater point, in Saw you have a chance to possibly survive, slim though it may be (unless Amanda made your trap, then sorry 'bout your luck.). In Final Destination to avoid death you have to...die. You have to totally ignore your inherent, natural drive to prevent the death of yourself and either people you care about, or people who you'd never willingly allow to die (parents, their kids, etc) and allow a gruesome death to befall you all...OR you and the other supposed-to-be victims can live the rest of your lives in sheer terror of the day your number comes up and you get to die an even more gruesome death individually. Yeah, I'm still taking Saw.

The tension and paranoia from being marked for death in Final Destination is bad, but the death itself is usually quick, so better than the torture of a Saw death (plus after about Saw 3, they all suck.)
