Only John Locke could pull it off on concrete...
Matthew J. Needham
And chuck motherfucking norris

And Jackie Chan
Ankit
jumping into the freezing water would kill you, due to hypothermia use your heads jumping onto concrete will only break or sprain your legs/ injure your back if you fall like an idoit
BearGrylls
Ankit, ill fall in my pool. All i got to do is swim towards the ladder, and viola. Im out
Zac
@BearGrylls Hypothermia doesn't quite work like that, when hypothermic your body contracts your muscles in a vague attempt to keep warm, Ergo you wouldn't be able to swim (Or bearly anyway)
brittney
NEVER forget CHUCK NORRIS
Gracie Tripp
John Locke fell on grass not concrete
Fainting Goat
@Zac Not sure if you said "bearly" on purpose or not
Ryan Park
and sherlock

It's called tuck and roll. i jumped from my second story window on to concrete all the time when i snuck out of the house, i only broke my ankle once.
Sandypengu
You have major skills! :D
Noodletron
Parkour ftw! I would still rather have the water, though :)
weirdo
Except you are falling, not jumping. If you have the presence of mind when pushed to land in a tuck and roll, I applaud your mental abilities, otherwise, I don't believe you at all.
T.P.N
well you fall after you jump, dumb ass its called gravity.
Rhi
Actually, either way you'd break your bones. You'd die faster if you fell into water, though.
[deleted]
You'd break your bones by falling two stories into water? Where did you get your facts from?
Jacob
Basically, freerunner or swimmer? I'm neither, I'll just die.
deafside
By falling two stories, you are going to be traveling fast enough to allow the water to act as a solid object. So either way, you are going to receive a hard hit, now its just if you want to lie there grunting and moaning, or if you want to receive more punishment by sinking into freezing water when your breath just got knocked out of you. I'd rather just fall and get it over with, not have to worry about saving myself after.
p01arb33r
at 2 stories it does not hit you like concrete. highdivers jump from higher than that. you fail.
Andrew Colletti
pencil dive.
cpt sparrow
doesn't say you're not allowed a parachute.
SAUCY SCOTSMAN
Cpt sparrow, a parachute wouldn't do much for two stories.
DrCrazyFishMan1
i don't believe at that height water would act as a solid, you get diving boards higher than 2 stories and people don't die!
Anon
"By falling 2 stories. you're going to be travelling fast enough to allow the water to act as a solid." That's if you bellyflop. You can just swim out ASAP with the water.
Blurtex33
Deafside you are a fucking dumbass.
Razarex
Pretty sure An Olympic diving platform is higher that two stories and they seem fine. Even that guy who belly flopped got out ok.
The Fartist
There are diving boards higher than 2 stories...
brian3711
At least you have a chance on water
Kevin S Burkhard
2 Stories is 20 feet. If you execute a proper dive or hit the water in the correct manner you will be fine.
Sparkling Cat
That's not how it worked in MythBusters...
Noodletron
No. Water gives you a softer fall, even if it is bad. And people jump from higher than 2 stories into water for fun, but you don't see me jumping off buildings. Basically, falling from high onto anything = bad. But falling from high into water > falling from high onto concrete.
PartyJunkie
People, you are forgetting one major property. FREEZING. this means it is below 32°f or 0°c. Most of you guys act like little cunts in 50° f water!
jhonney
freezing not frozen and cant you wear a protective suit it doesn't unprepared
LordCatnip
Damn, i just figured this out. Falling two whole books onto concrete.
FavsCo
I am a free runner, sooo... I've done that before...many times.
weirdo
But you are falling, not jumping. There is a huge difference, e.g. think about being pushed off a 20 ft roof.
bear6868
You people obviously didnt pay attention to the question both are solid surfaces. *freezing* water as in below 32* F so it would be ICE
Mrs. Rory Williams
Thank you for FINALLY pointing that out. I thought I would be the only one smart enough to notice.
GareBear
You think pansy below freezing H2O is gonna take me down? We obviously haven't met...
Nicholas
two stories... hitting water from a high enough distance can kill you, this would make it a freezing cold water slap that could kill you
overtherainbow
Two stories would not cause your speed to increase enough to make the water the equivalent of concrete. Jumping off the golden gate bridge, sure... but two stories? There are diving boards higher than that. I'm a great swimmer so... it wouldn't be all that bad. And growing up in Northern California means the ocean here is COLD.

Bones can be fixed. You can go into shock and drown.
john8547
Water is harder than concrete if you hit it at more than 35 mph
largadargaharga
Who says you can't put cushion on the concrete?
Ryan McCracken
All you people are dumb, if the water is frozen its will be a huge block of solid ice that you're falling on to. Both choices are about the same, you're going to die or have severe injuries.
Marcus Panico
20 feet, oh no.
Selene Hug
I think there would be a bigger chance of dying in the water... I mean, if its freezing water, it must have had an ice layer when you landed, and hitting it could still hurt you a lot... also, there's a possibility you woulnd't be able to get out and drowned. I reckon falling two stories will break my wrist or ankle at most, and I'd be back in top shape in a few months...
Vic
Breaking my bones is permanent damage. I can recover from freezing water.
IzeoftheWorld22
Two stories isn't enough to kill you when jumping into water...
alex7173
Much better survivanility rate in water
Refresh100
Falling two stories into water is the equivalent of hitting concrete from that high
chickedy2534
Even if you've never done it before, parkore (? On spelling) proves hitting concrete doesn't always hurt or damage you.
bjevilcat2
I have fallen two stories and I'm alive. It's all about how you fall and land. I was able to get back up and walk away no pain or anything.
Sandypengu
At least you don't die!
Fleshgod
It's only 2 stories... You'd have to land on your head to die from that distance.
LOLking
You'd live
cass
im a swimmer so its really not a big deal i go into freezing water all the time cold dosent have a huge effect on me plus people dive into water from twenty feet all the time.
NegroPearl
I feel like we have a name for water that is freezing..
Llama_Whisperer
I'll just pull a Sherlock.
Zelsyon
You can break bones when landing on water also :)
Danielle
Falling into water breaks your bones and you freeze to death.
greatestever
Well since I can't swim...
ana3009
It doesn't say how hard are you going to get hit while falling
Brad C
2 stories is only 20 feet... falling 20 feet on to cement, if you fall right, could cause little to no damage.
Levisdj
I don't like the cold plus it would feel quit hard because your falling from a high place
Hime kyubi
If you fall onto concrete you'll die -_-
Ralathon
I can jump down that far and not get hurt at all. Otherwise it would be cold as a mofo.
Pativis
Well I can't swim properly and I hate the cold. I'd rather rish breaking a leg.
mydogisacat
While falling, you would go unconsious
Jacob Shaffer
DC jfm
Stewiepwn
... And then you get out.
Divinity
this one sounds more interesting
Phantom L
Just be sure that you are wearing a wetsuit ;)
john8547
Not that that has to do with anything
Leah Hemsley
it doesn't say how cold the water is.....
Victor Luong
Sherlock method XD
Maia Mudric
I've always wanted a broken leg ...
Auburn Thayer
At least with water you'd go into shock and pretty much space out the pain.
jakereeno
You would be less likely to die
jakereeno
You would be less likely to die
Stephanie Jean Greville
its the same difference because of surface tension, but the water is also freezing.
Collie
While I'm covered with enough layers to keep me warm.
