um anything is a weapon during the zombie apocolypse but the 2nd floor is better cause you might be able to escape but in the cellar you are fucked

Cellars dont have dirt walls they are usually pretty thick with concrete so i doubt you'd be able to dig your way out. Assuming theres a bunch of zombies just in your barn and around the front then at least you could break out of the 2nd floor walls which are made of wood and jump down and run.

It would take some time for the zombies to climb up the stairs than tumble down. I'd just wait for them to be outside my door then jump out and run for it. It would be a surefire way to survive.

Doubt zombies would have the intelligence to get into the cellar, Just sit it out a few day and they will forget. And the cellar is probably more sound proof.

Having the high ground is a strategical advantage. And you can push them down the stairs, knocking down the rest down too.

If things took a turn for the worse you could jump, you might break your leg and they'd catch you later but it's better then being cornered and eaten imo. :)
