I would prefer to experience the joy of being a parent, over never being one at all. It would be hard but still worth it I believe!

dude this is a comment for all the other guys commenting on this. In the extra info it says no adoption brothers. stick to your guns though because being infertile would be dope on your boy downstairs, you know he hates them rubber sacks you put on him.

It would be selfish to bring a child I'm the world knowing they will die and not be able to grow up and have a normal life. I'd rather save a child and have none then have one and have the bond then they die and you're left with the worst heartbreak

@Maggie would you say the same thing if the child was disfigured or mentally retarded or something of the sort and the mother wanted an abortion?

Couldn't you have more kids it says "a child that passes away" so technically can't you have more children after the one passes away? Just wondering...

That's kinda selfish... you would bring death on a 5-year-old child just so YOU could experience the 'joy of being a parent'?

Codyg, you are fucking sick. You'd want to bring a little kid into this world and then have their young lives cut short, cos you selfishly want to "experience being a parent" for a few years? Fuck you you dude.

What if the baby dies in child birth?? Look. It says before 5 years old. Sure the baby could die when he/she is 4 but you never know

@p01arb33r "No, you may not adopt in either case." It also says Have 'A' child. I would just have a second one. Enjoy never knowing the feeling of being a parent.

You want your babies burying you, not vise versa. Plus, you will NEVER get those 9 months back, and your wife will still have a ton of baby fat. All just to pay for a toddlers funeral, Ill pass.

As a Father I would definitely not want to see that happened to my son. Rather not have one at all if death was to happen.

  • 6

    Jumanji9700

Not having kids anyway.... so being infertile wouldn't really be bad..... but if I were to adopt, I'd prob hate life if the kid died really young.

  • 3

It seems so heartless to just brush off the death of a child by saying you can just have another anyway. Children aren't appliances.

  • 4

I wouldnt have a child just to experience saddness and lose plus they wouldnt be able to live a long happy life

  • 3

    MarkTheGr8

You can get another child that will live a full life. It says a child, not every child. Of course it may be painful to bury your child, but I also want to experience parenthood.

    • 0

      grace

It's not about YOU though. It's about willingly having a child when you know they're going to die before they get to live at all. If this was a real life situation and not a question on a website, choosing what you chose is one of the most disgustingly selfish things a person could ever do.

    • 0

      MarkTheGr8

If you know when people are going to die, you're extremely selfish by not preventing their deaths. I, for one, can't see into the future. I don't know if you have children, but let's say you don't. When you have a child, do you know if he/she is going to live for 5 years, 20 years, 80 years? No you don't. You can hope, you can do your best to make it happen, but you don't know.

    • 0

      MarkTheGr8

With your logic, you might as well never get children, because it might die some day before expected. Also, no one says it has to be a painful death. I interpret 'passes away' to mean in peace.

  • 1

    grace

Of course it would be hard on me to lose a child at 5, but I didn't pick blue for me. It's not fair to give a child life, knowing that it'd be ripped away too quickly. It's better for me to never conceive at all than to conceive and have my child die before they could enjoy their life.

I'm childfree so this is easy. Besides, even if I wanted kids, losing one would be too painful, and there's always adoption. Infertility wouldn't stop me if I wanted to be a parent.
