I am going to argue that even the funniest comedy falls under the genre of drama. To answer that you would rather only watch comedies is simply an unnecessary limitation in this case.

Two people can talk all big and classy if that is what you proposeon doing but everybody needs a bit of laughter every now and then, let's not be so stiff in what case will drama help you all you will do is cry and cry so there is no real purpose for drama. I rest my case ;)

Drama movies are actually quality films. Most (modern) comedies are a dime a dozen.

The comedies would get old after a while... Current movies have tons of reused jokes anyways. You really could make the same argument for dramas. However, you do need both in life, and I would rather get my drama fix from movies and television and whatnot than from my actual life.
