I am going to argue that even the funniest comedy falls under the genre of drama. To answer that you would rather only watch comedies is simply an unnecessary limitation in this case.

But laughter is the best medicine. And if most comedies are dramas, then you get a nice dose of both. Not all dramas are comedies.
