I would rather be born into something else because Christianity's rules of, "Getting into heaven" Is bullshit. I can't cuss, I can't drink, I can't do anything that would be mildly entertaining. It would suck. So I think I'll take my chances.

kyle, thats not exactly how its supposed to be...unfortunately, thats how most of the church has made it. :/

you can drink its getting drunk that is a sin but seeing as the bible states a lot of things are sins I don't see the point in taking everything to heart

@Kyle I agree with @Dominic, that is not how it works. It's a very common misconception.

@Vilius no, going to church and doing good for other people does not garentee your pass to heaven. You can never do enough good to do that, the bible states. it is by excepting Jesus, you get your salvation, and then you show your faith through works.

Being "good" and going to heaven have no correlation to each other there's only one way to heaven and that's through Christ there is no way to earn your way into heaven we can't do any deed or work to get ourself there it's through Christ and when we accept him as our savior and give our hearts to him that's our assurance of going to Heaven not drinking or doing things like that is just evidence of our belief in Christ it is not the belief itself sadly these are misconceptions of non-believers and many churches

Dearest Plutters, it obvious that if Satan does indeed exist, he would not torture those who worshiped him, or were indeed "unremarkable disgusting and utterly horrid in all ways possible", we would be partying with Satan because in Heaven, I do nit believe they would enjoy partying and having fun. (By writing this I'm trying to make fun of those who take this seriously... Have a good week)

I think that... As much as I hate talking about religion. There is a better chance of getting into heaven because Jesus forgives for sins. And with reincarnation (I may be wrong, correct me if I am) you don't have those chances. It all adds up, and everybody makes mistakes, some worse than others, so you'd most likely end up a somewhat worse life. As if, if you were to go to heaven, if you made mistakes you can change, and ask Jesus for forgiveness and go to Heaven. and when you make those mistakes and do bad things when it comes to reincarnation, there is no forgiveness or turning back. Just waiting for your next miserable life, instead of looking forward to heaven which is forever happiness. So I believe it would be easier to get to heaven than to be a human next life... and worrying about being a worm or such the next.

    • 8

      Denivire

The belief of reincarnation works like this: You do good, you get a better body in the next life, and vice-versa. Once you hit that all-time good, your soul becomes one with the universe, forever entwined with everything. There is also a point down towards the bottom where you only act off of instinct, and therefore can do no bad, and start going back up the chain.

  • 4

I don't really beleive in either, if i had to choose reincarnation sounds more plausible. However the astral plane could easily be mistaken for a heaven or hell and besides living means suffering, life sucks, and i'm tired of it. I've been alive for long enough and i could use a nice long rest away from the physical world.

Christians don't believe that Heaven is just an eternal church service. It's basically you just chill out in Paradise until God remakes the earth then you just do whatever you want. You can hang out with your friends and do stuff, go wherever, not die, and all the animals are chill and like "Yo dude I'm a dolphin, want a ride to Hawaii?" And you're like "Sure, I'm gonna ask Jesus and Moses if they want to surf."

Being an Atheist, as much as I enjoy seeing people take the "live" route, personally I don't have any regrets. I've lived, will continue to live and I will prefer to die and end life for good. Heaven certainly wouldn't be life, but it wouldn't be the end of everything, either.

Contrary to popular belief, Hell is a very comfortable and fun place to live. You like Worlds/Oceans of fun? That's all modeled after amusement parks in Hell. FPS's is what they DO in their free time. BUT, heaven is quite the opposite. It's horrible, you're suffering all the time, and it's a shithole.

well if we're talking based off the specific religion anyone who picks heaven/hell is absolutely going to hell there are thousands of obscure sins in the bible it's impossible to be pure at least with reincarnation I'm probably gonna be born as a human again or if not chances are I'll be a bug or a tree and die quickly/peacefully

The chance that I would get a better life or be able to die if i had a worse one, then come back, versus the chance that a get into hell and stay there forever. I could just make the best of each life, gain great knowledge, pass school easy, life would be a breeze.
